Abstract:

Micro-documentary 11 Communists True To the Cause jointly produced by Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee and others tells the stories of eleven Chinese communists. It features 11 five-minute episodes  entitled, respectively, He Yeduo’s “Oath”, Fu Lie’s “Death Note”, Xun Huaizhou’s “Battle Cry”, Wang Erzhuo’s “Letter Entrusting His Wife to His Parents”, Lu Deming’s “Letter Written during the March”, Zhang Chaoxie’s “Letters between Two Places”, Chen Yi’an’s “Blank Letter”, Xia Minghan’s “Death of a Martyr”, Zhao Yiman’s “Letter to My Son”, Zuo Quan’s “Statement of My Determination”, and Chen Ran’s “Avowal”. The micro-doc demonstrates Chinese Communists' faith and loyalty forged with lives and blood and their unswerving original aspirations and mission.


On November 21, 2019, 11 Communists True To the Cause had its premiere online and recently TheoryChina exclusively released its seven foreign language (English, French, Russian, Spanish, German, Japanese, and Arabic) versions.
