Chinese President Xi Jinping Attends and Addresses Opening Ceremony of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018

The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018 kicked off in Boao, Hainan Province, in the morning of April 10. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech titled "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity." The core message of his speech is summarized as below: To ride on the trend of the times, let us dedicate ourselves to openness and win-win outcomes, be brave to change and break new ground, and keep striving for a community with a shared future for mankind. China will make an unwavering commitment to reform and opening-up, continue rolling out more major measures to pursue further opening, and strive for a better tomorrow for Asia and the world with Asian countries and all other countries across the world.  

In his speech, Xi noted that "since its inception, the Boao Forum for Asia has made positive contributions that help build consensus in Asia, encourage cooperation, promote economic globalization, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for mankind." The theme of this year's conference is "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity." It is in line with the trend of the times and reflects the expectation of all parties.  

More than 2000 people, including leaders from many countries and regions all over the world, heads of international organizations, representatives from the political, industrial and commercial circles, and scholars and experts, were present at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018 which was scheduled from April 8 to April 11.
