The 15th Forum on International Cultural Industries (FICI) was held at Peking University on January 6-7, 2018. The forum was organized by Peking University and co-organized by the School of Arts of Peking University, the Institute for Cultural Industries of Peking University, and the Cultural Industry Innovation & Development Academe. Themed on "New Era: A Higher Quality of Life and Cultural Mission," the event was aimed to discuss about the reform and innovation in the cultural system, the new modes and forms brought in by the development of the cultural industry, and the cultural creation through various practices in the drive of developing a strong socialist culture.

On the academic seminar of young scholars, the learned men of young age from the Chinese cultural industry delivered keynote speeches and held discussions about various topics that ranged from the innovation and development in the traditional Chinese culture, to creative ideas embedded in cultural spaces, to the relations between the Belt and Road Initiative and the cultural industry, and to the co-growth of internet-based digital creative ideas and film & TV industry.
