The International Forum on Belt and Road Port Cities, which was jointly hosted by the Silk Road Think Tank Association, which was founded by the International Department the CPC Central Committee, and by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, opened in Tianjin on December 7.

The Belt and Road Initiative originated in China and is shared by the world. As Chinese wisdom and a Chinese approach to solving the problem of human development, the Belt and Road Initiative will surely become an important platform for exploring a new model of global governance and building a community with shared future for mankind. The Belt and Road Initiative will bring new historical opportunities to Tianjin. Tianjin will seize these opportunities and deeply involve itself into this major century program.

Song Tao, Director of the International Department of Central Committee of CPC, said that the Belt and Road Initiative has been incorporated into the Party Constitution at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, representing the sincerity and determination of China to promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. Implementing President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative is also an important practice of building a community with shared future for mankind. Port cities need to strengthen cooperation to provide strong support and guarantee for the Belt and Road Initiative.
