Silk Road American Forum Held in Los Angeles

The Silk Road American Forum was held in Los Angeles from November 2 to 3, with about 200 guests from political, business and think-tank circles in China, the United States, Canada, Panama and other countries and regions. 

Sun Lushan, Acting Consul General of China in Los Angeles spoke at the forum that the Belt and Road Initiative is of great significance to both China and the world as it will not only create greater opportunities for the opening up of China, but also bring about more opportunities for the development of all countries in the world and the global economic recovery. California has advantages in such fields as economic and trade investment, clean technology, low carbon environment, biomedicine, high technology and the Internet, and has launched a huge infrastructure development plan. He hoped that the United States will keep an open mind and actively seek opportunities for cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative. 

Bach, Trade Commissioner of the International Trade Administration under the U.S. Department of Commerce, and Dan Carol, Senior Advisor on Infrastructure and Energy at California Governor, introduced the U.S. trade development status, investment opportunities and future cooperation prospects from the federal government to California and local governments.
