The Third Meeting of China-Indonesia High Level Economic Dialogue Held in Beijing

The third meeting of China-Indonesia High Level Economic Dialogue was held in Beijing on August 22. The meeting was jointly presided over by State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Darmirt, Minister of General Economic Planning of Indonesia (vice premier level). The meeting was aimed at implementing the important consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries, deepening the overall strategic partnership of the two countries, further advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, and pushing forward the pragmatic economic cooperation in all aspects.  

Both sides gave active appraisal of the positive progress achieved in the bilateral mutual-benefiting economic cooperation since the second meeting, and stated unanimously to continue to connect the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” Initiative of the China with the “Global Maritime Pivot” of Indonesia to jointly push forward the economic and trade cooperation of China and Indonesia.  

After the meeting, Yang Jiechi and Darmirt jointly witnessed the signature of the minutes of meeting and the memorandum of understanding of both sides on financing cooperation for infrastructures.
