The BRICS Seminar on Governance opened on August 17 in Quanzhou, Fujian. Representatives from China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa and other developing countries including Tanzania, Ethiopia and Mexico exchanged governance experiences in depth.

The seminar’s theme “Openness, Inclusiveness, Mutual Benefit and Win-win: Working Together to Build a Community of Shared Future for Mankind” conforms to the current wishes and aspirations of the BRICS countries to strengthen dialogue and deepen cooperation. The participating representatives shared experience, exchanged views and built consensus around this theme, which was of great importance to enriching the outcomes of the BRICS Xiamen Summit and helping usher in another golden decade for BRICS cooperation.

The participating representatives thought strengthening exchange of governance experiences could help the BRICS countries realize greater development on their roads in the future. The BRICS countries should promote exchange and mutual learning mechanisms and raise the degree of participation in exchange and mutual learning. The staging of the BRICS Seminar on Governance will provide a platform for various countries to solve difficult problems in development and governance.

This seminar as one of the important supporting activities for the BRICS Xiamen Summit was hosted by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and organized by the Chinese Academy of Governance and China International Publishing Group.
