The Seminar of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Alliance Held In Cairo

  On April 1, the first seminar of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Alliance — the Belt and Road Sino-Egypt Business Forum, organized by the China Federation of Industrial Economics and the Egyptian Businessmen's Association, kicked off in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. More than 300 representatives from the political, industrial and commercial circles attended the seminar, including Song Aiguo, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Xiong Meng, Secretary-General of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Alliance, and Mohammad Yousuf, Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen's Association.

  The two-day forum is intended to seek opportunities for cooperation between China and Egypt, China and Africa, and among member countries and promote bilateral and multilateral economic and trade development and capacity cooperation, with focus on the investment of Chinese enterprises in Egypt, as well as the economic development prospects and investment focus of member countries of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Alliance. Group discussions include such issues as the Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, infrastructure construction, industrial park investment, e-commerce, transportation and logistics, banking and finance.
