The decrease rate of energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in 2014 are released as follows:

Annotation:

1. Explanatory Notes and Calculation Methods

The energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP refers to the energy consumption cost by the region to create 10,000 yuan of GDP.

The calculation formulas are as follows:

Energy Consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP = Total Energy Consumption / GDP

Increase or Decrease Rate of Energy Consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP (%) ={(Total Energy Consumption in 2014/GDP of 2014) / (Total Energy Consumption in 2013 / GDP of 2013) -1}×100%

Increase or Decrease Rate of Electricity Consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP (%) ={(Total Electricity Consumption in 2014/ GDP of 2014) / (Total Electricity Consumption in 2013/ GDP of 2013) -1}×100%

Increase or Decrease Rate of Energy Consumption per 10,000 yuan of Industrial Value-Added (%) = {(Growth Index of Energy Consumption of Industry in 2014)/(Growth Index of Industrial Value-Added in 2013)-1}×100%

The figures of GDP and industrial value-added are calculated using the price in 2010.

2. Statistical Coverage.

The statistics of the energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of industrial value-added covers the industrial corporate enterprises whose main business income stands at 20 million yuan and above. The data of Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan Province are not included in this communiqué.

3. The national energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP in 2014 went down by 4.8 percent.

4. The data of Tibet Autonomous Region are absent temporarily.
